The distruction of The Willie Fire of the Summer of 2000

Missed by The Willie Fire of the Summer of 2000
The Willie Fire of the Summer of 2000 that burned near Billings, MT in the mountains near Red Lodge was caused by a motorcycle accident.  Picture #1, above left,  shows the mountain side that burned thousands of acres of Montana land.  Picture #2, above right,  shows the land immediately across the road that did not burn.  The firefighters worked hard and saved many acres from being destroyed!

Kurt and Caton were excellent chefs!
The weather cooperated and was sunny
and warm while we cooked the turkey, yet
still cold enough so we did have a white Christmas.

July 7 Fireworks

Montana celebrates the Fourth of July for a week!  We spent 7/7/01 in Nye, Montana and saw the fireworks!  I got a few pictures with the new digital camera.  I love it!
